How to Put the Fun in Learning!
Learning doesn't have to be boring. In fact- it should never be! Our favorite way to learn is through interaction and activities and we're sure that's your favorite way too. It's like the old saying by Benjamin Franklin goes, "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I may remember. Involve me and I learn." Children learn best when involved in activities that engage them in the subject material. Involvement as opposed to memorization is incredibly more effective, and more enjoyable too! So, how can you incorporate fun into your child's learning process? There are so many ways! Here are some of our favorites:
Arts and Crafts. This is the easiest way to incorporate fun into any learning activity! Be it a paper plane with numbered steps, a diorama of the planet, or just a coloring page, adding arts and crafts into learning creates that interaction that children are yearning for. Bonus points if it's something they get to hang up on the refrigerator!
Games and Activities. The kids love these the most! If they get to learn without being glued to their chair, we guarantee they'll be significantly more receptive to the material being taught. Some of our favorites are letter hopscotch, counting catch, and word bingo!
Experiments. These are most effective when learning about science or even math. Instead of just telling them how something happens, show them(if you can)! What do you think they'll remember more? Reading about how a volcano or erupts or seeing and recreating how a volcano erupts? That's a no-brainer!
